Adding iControlPad support is a quick and easy way to gain more sales and exposure.

There's a community building up around the iControlPad, a community of like-minded individuals who are getting increasingly excited about the possibilities of gaming controls on their smartphone. Already there are hundreds of compatible Apps, and we expect this number to grow.

Adding iControlPad support to your App is a great way to reach thousands of iControlPad owners, and gain a little exposure all for very little effort.

To get started, read our Developer Guide or see below for more specific resources.

iOS App Store Developers

With the iCade on the market, you're in a unique position. You can support both the iControlPad and iCade in one simple stroke, and most of the work has been done for you.

An open-source MIT-licensed SDK for supporting both the iCade and iControlPad in your iOS app is available here: https://github.com/scarnie/iCade-iOS and should give you a head start.

Android Developers

If you don't need the Analogue controls in your App, there's an easy way to add support or make it better; just support the keyboard.

Via BlueZ IME the iControlPad can appear as a standard keyboard input, letting users control your App without you worrying about the specifics of connecting to and handling an iControlPad

Developer Forums

If you need help, you can visit our developer forums where you'll cross paths with other iControlPad-supporting developers from both the iOS and Android camps.

Beta Testing

Don't own an iControlPad? Don't despair. We've got a dedicated forum for Beta Testing where you can put the call out for iControlPad owners to test your App.

Coding Competition

We're considering running a competition for iControlPad developers submitting Apps which fall under one of two categories:

  • New Apps with iControlPad support
  • Existing Apps with iControlPad support added

There will be cash prizes, so this could be a great time for you to consider the iControlPad.
