Best 17 Inch

The MSI GE63 Raider RGB is a colorful, very customizable design with a comfortable keyboard and great sound.

The MSI GE63 Raider RGB has one of the most vibrant designs at this price point. As the name suggests, it features RGB lighting in other different areas of its body besides the keyboard. The additional lighting is present on the outer part of the lid and on the USB ports to give it an interesting futuristic look. The pricing of this laptop starts at around 1500 dollars and rises with higher specifications. However, the base model should work fine if you are on a budget.

Best Battery Life

The Alienware M15 gaming is a great fairly thin machine with excellent battery life and performance.

  • Battery life while good, still only lasts about 2.5 hours

Typically, Alienware machines are usually bulky with a chunky chassis, but the m15 is thin and light with a thickness of 0.7 inches. The M15 has one of the best performing battery’s at this price point of under 1500 dollars. The specifications of the M15 hold their own when compared to other machines in this category, especially the keyboard and the screen quality, which are packed into a thin chassis.

Best Subtle

The Aspire V17 Nitro is a fantastic gaming laptop for Acer fans with a GTX 1060 and the awesome black finish.

The Acer v17 Nitro is one of the top gaming laptops under 1500 dollars, the Acer Aspire V17 Nitro is subtle, and it’s one of the few machines you could use for work and school without it screaming GAMER. Unlike most of the other machines we reviewed the Aspire V17 does not have an over the top design (stick of red and black anyone??), there are no bright colors and external lighting here…

Best Razer Laptop

The Razer Blade is a 15 is a highly portable device for gamers that’s built like a tank! If you’re after something that resembles a MacBook Pro, then have just found it!

  • 144Hz or 4K option

  • Disliked trackpad buttons (personal preference)
  • Dim display
  • Poor battery performance

Even though the new version of this notebook seems to be longer lasting and stronger than the previous year’s, it would be nice to see more original features being incorporated. If you’re looking for a metal chassis, the Razer Blade is a great choice, if you’re on a tighter budget we would check out the Alienware 13 R13 instead.

That said, all of the machines we reviewed will all run the latest games without encountering any problems. From our list, the HP Omen 17 represents the best budget gaming laptop in the market.
