We don't want a rabbit, we want a pheasant.

Well Christmas was an interesting blur of activity. 2012 is looking to be growth, growth, growth. We're currently trying to increase production in order to meet demand and we have a few ideas about how to approach this.
The interesting software news is of course Blutrol which allows you to make most iOS apps work with the iCP - just tell it where you want the inputs to go, there is a great thread about it over on the forum. There are also over a dozen new Apps which support the iCP directly to go on the compatibility list when I get 25 minutes to update it.
2012 will see the 10,000th iCP ship, this will be a major milestone and I hope the first of many - I look forward to letting you know when this happens!

Right, now we're going to have to approach this scientifically.

Gads, what a month! The compatibilty page is updated with 30+ apps, we're expecting over 100 by Christmas, the nubs can now be supported within iTunes apps and Vertex Blaster is the perfect app to try them on, you can also try some Llamasoft ports from the Amiga/ST era, see the compatibility page for more.
The Universal holder add on has been a HUGE success, with 500 previous customers alone upgrading to it in 2 weeks! At one point we were quite literally working 24 hours between a team of 4 people to get everything done, were now back on 24 hour shipping, your order will usually ship the same day if you get it in before 3PM GMT.
We're still pushing ahead supporting new developers, starting a Christmas publicity campaign, confirming all new phones work with the new holder (they do so far), the site has been updated to leave the older slide clamps behind (but they are still available and supported), and we will have a press publicity photos section this week for all you reviewers.
That's all I can think of for this update, those of you asking about Christmas ordering, all I can say is order early to be sure we will have stock - it's hard to anticipate the number of orders as we approach, no doubt it will be quite a few to say the least.

New universal holder

Right, as you may have noticed we have a new universal holder now - we decided to do this as the number of phones now appearing is too many to make custom clamps for them all.
In other news sales are still going crazy and we're planning ahead for Christmas already with 6000 extra units planned on top of the normal production!
We're also considering a coding competition for the iCP - see here: http://boards.openpandora.org/index.php?/topic/4913-icp-coding-competition/page__pid__85231#entry85231
Follow me on twitter for more day to day events as I'm only updating this monthly.

Well, this is exciting!

Well, wow. What can we say? The last few weeks have been crazy for us, the iCP has sold thousands of units and we have had to take on extra staff to handle the shipping.
We're pushing ahead with new features in the firmware (iCade support being the most delicious) and we're negotiating contracts with distributors all over the world.
Seeing the iControlpad 'come to life' as more and more customers receive their orders is a great feeling - there are so many apps and new features coming in the next two months that I'm finding it difficult to keep quiet about them!
MAME is now working.

MAME! So many apps are now starting to support/work with the iCP that it's difficult to keep up! We're not complaining though - it's wonderful to see the iCP become such a success. So, as I was saying, MAME is now working with the latest beta firmware, check the thread on our forum to see how to play it now: http://boards.openpandora.org/index.php?/topic/4369-mame-working-on-iphone-with-icontrolpad/...
More good news coming later this week too (I wish I could tell you now, but.. must... resist).
md.emu (MegaDrive / Genesis-Emulator) released!
Submitted by Craig on Tue, 06/28/2011 - 10:15
Robert Broglia just released his next emulator - time to play some Sega classics on your phone and celebrate Sonic's 20th anniversary!
Grab the Android version at the marketplace, the WebOS and iOS-Ports are currently being worked on and should be released soon.
As every emulator from Robert Broglia it supports the iControlPad out of the box :)
